Neetu Agarwal is a mother, a homemaker, and the winner of Tiska Mrs India 2026 Classic East. For many years, her daily life looked like that of millions of other women across India. She spent most of her time taking care of her house, cooking meals, and looking after her family. Today, her older daughter is 21 years old, and her younger daughter is 17. Once her daughters grew older and became more independent, Neetu felt ready to try something new for herself.
Finding the Pageant on Instagram
The idea started on a normal afternoon at home. Neetu was scrolling through Instagram on her phone when an advertisement for the Tiska Miss and Mrs India pageant caught her attention. What made her stop was the way the contest divided competitors by age. Instead of putting everyone in one big group, Tiska creates separate groups based on stage of life.
Unmarried women enter the Miss category. Married women between 30 and 40 years old enter the Gold category. Married women who are 40 or older compete in the Classic category. Because of these clear age groups, Neetu felt comfortable signing up for the Classic contest.
Practicing High Heels in the Kitchen
Entering a beauty contest came with an immediate challenge. The pageant team asked Neetu if she could walk in high heels. She said yes right away, but in daily life, she only wore flat walking shoes to prevent knee pain and back pain. Now, she had to learn how to walk smoothly on heels that were four to five inches high.
Neetu did not have hours of free time to visit a private coaching studio. Instead, she used her normal routine at home. She put on her tall heels while preparing lunch and dinner in the kitchen. Standing by the kitchen counter, chopping vegetables, and rolling flatbreads kept her thoughts occupied. Because her attention stayed on cooking, her feet stopped worrying about the height of the shoes. She began by wearing them for ten minutes at a time. Soon she increased her practice to fifteen, twenty, and thirty minutes every day. Within a few weeks, she could walk easily across the floor, and she even learned how to dance in them without losing balance.
Support from Home
Neetu shares that strong family support made her efforts much easier. Her two daughters cheered for her every day and treated her like a close friend. Her husband supported her through every stage of preparation. Whenever Neetu felt nervous or doubted her chances, her husband stepped in with calm advice. He told her not to think about winning or losing a trophy. He told her to treat the trip as a chance to meet people, learn practical skills, and have fun. At home, her husband took care of outside errands while Neetu took care of household tasks. He also ate the same healthy meals she prepared for herself.
Daily Fitness and Seven Days of Training
Daily fitness was already a normal part of life for Neetu long before she signed up for the pageant. When her younger daughter turned two years old, Neetu decided to set aside one hour every single day for physical activity. Depending on the day, she went to a nearby gym, joined a Zumba class, did aerobics, or practiced yoga. She believes that when a mother stays healthy and energetic, the whole household stays healthy too.
Before the final competition, Tiska held a full seven-day training camp. Professional models and trainers worked with each contestant on stage presence, body posture, and walking speed. The trainers kept every rehearsal friendly and relaxed, which helped Neetu overcome her stage fear completely.
Walking the Runway in Delhi
During the final event, Neetu wore Contestant Number 29. At the end of the evening, the judges announced her as the winner of Tiska Mrs India 2026 Classic East. Winning the title soon led to new runway opportunities in fashion.
Neetu walked in Season 3 of the One Day Fashion Show, organized by Forever India Events at Fairleys Hotel and Resort in Chhattarpur, New Delhi. She opened the runway presentation for fashion designers Rabani and Rakha, presenting their clothing collection named Rang-E-Noor. The event was reported in the First India City First newspaper, featuring Neetu on the runway in a black sequin saree.
A Simple Message for Other Women
Today, Neetu still wakes up, cleans, cooks, and runs her household on her own. She reminds other women that a day has twenty-four hours. After sleeping for eight hours, sixteen hours remain. Setting aside one of those waking hours for personal health or an old goal does not harm family duties. Her message to other homemakers is simple: stop telling yourself no, because age is only a number.
