She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Applied Arts, Fine Arts, Art History, and Aesthetics, consistently securing top positions. She also successfully qualified the UGC-NET examination on her very first attempt, a remarkable achievement that led her into the field of higher education as a lecturer. Choosing such a challenging and relatively unexplored subject demonstrated her willingness to venture where few researchers had gone before. Under expert academic guidance, she completed this significant research within an exceptionally short period, contributing valuable knowledge to the field of Indian Studies and earning widespread appreciation among scholars.
One of the defining milestones in her career came when the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, selected her research proposal for the prestigious Tagore Scholarship. Through this advanced research, Dr. Gauri explored how the process of artistic creation can evolve into a form of Yoga Sadhana. She was also invited as the Chief Guest during an International Women’s Day celebration organized by the Indian Army, acknowledging not only her artistic accomplishments but also her role in inspiring young minds through creativity and cultural education.
Believing that knowledge should reach everyone, Dr. Gauri expanded her work into the digital space by creating educational visual series under the banner “Ek.Chit.Spand.” Through platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, she introduced audiences to innovative concepts including Kala Kutuhal, Drushya Kavya, Reflection, Drushyakhyanam, Drushyakatha, and Visual Ode.
