Education becomes meaningful when children enjoy learning and understand things in a simple way. Daxa Sureshbhai Joshi is a dedicated teacher who has been working in education since 13 December 2000. With many years of teaching experience, she has always tried to make learning easy, useful and interesting for young children.
Daxa believes that every child can learn when the right method is used. Her work focuses especially on young learners and their basic learning needs. She has created easy Gujarati and Hindi books for Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN). These resources are designed to help children understand basic language and number skills in an easy manner.
Her work also includes examination papers for Balvatika, Standard 1 and Standard 2. At the early stage of education, children need simple questions and activities that match their age and learning level. Her efforts in preparing such learning material show her care for children’s needs.
Another important part of her work is learning through activities. She has developed easy environment activities related to soil and trees. Such activities help children learn about nature while taking part in practical classroom work. She has also worked on useful ideas and activities using waste plastic, showing children how simple materials can be used in creative ways.
Daxa also believes that children should get opportunities to think and enjoy themselves while learning. For this reason, she has developed mind games for students. Games can help children improve their thinking, observation, memory and problem-solving skills. Her classroom activities show that learning does not always have to happen through books and written work alone.
Her dedication has also received recognition. She was honoured with the Pratibhashali Teacher Award in 2024 and the Chanakya Award in 2025. These recognitions add important milestones to her long teaching journey and encourage her to continue creating better learning opportunities for children.
